Shannon Miller co-founded Mainspring in 2010 and has led the company as CEO since its inception. Today Mainspring is the leading manufacturer of linear generators, with hundreds of megawatts in field operations and advanced development for leading Fortune 500 companies and utilities. Shannon was awarded the U.S. Department of Energy C3E Award 2022 for Entrepreneurship and named Energy Central “Champion in Innovation” in 2023 in recognition for her energy industry leadership. A former National Science Foundation Fellow, she holds B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in mechanical engineering from Stanford University.
